When the roads are dicey…
The snow is coming down hard, and school cancellations were just announced. You’re unsure if your car will get you to the office safely. The walk through the snow is icy and dangerous. You’re worried that the drive could be dangerous, and you really need to unload in therapy.
When you’re home with a bad case of the sniffles…
Or maybe your child is under the weather. Or maybe you’re fine but quarantined at home. You don’t want to miss therapy, because you already started listing the things you hope to discuss in today’s session. Maybe watching your loved one being ill is activating your symptoms more strongly.
When your schedule gets crowded…
Maybe you’re healthy or you have a final tomorrow, and therapy is your only self-care refresher. You don’t have to waste time on your drive or walk to therapy. You need to clear your mind to be able to deal with all the pressures in front of you.
Telemental Health–
Through telemental health, we can still have a thorough and fulfilling session. Telemental health will permit us to see each other without compromising your safety or health and help hold us over between sessions until we can finally meet again in person.
Telemental health is using a HIPAA-compliant video-chat platform for your therapy. We can have a totally typical session without you leaving your home. Through our HIPAA-compliant platforms, your confidentiality will not be compromised or revealed to any third parties.
A bridge between in-person sessions…
I don’t use telemental health exclusively, because we stand to have a stronger relationship by meeting in-person. But for those times when life is getting in the way, it can make all the difference.
I conduct telemental health through Zoom or Doxy (depending on the stability of your Internet connection).
